I Don't Know If We still Know Clearly That There Are Solutions To The Reasons for Poor Gas Transmission

In this issue, I would like to talk to you about gas flow meters. Do you still have a clear understanding of the causes of gas transmission differences and have solutions? Next, the editor will use this article to review the knowledge points.

1、 Reasons for Gas Transmission Difference

1. Measurement device error

(1) Equipment error. Mainly refers to the error of measuring equipment such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers, etc. Equipment errors are inevitably influenced by many factors such as the manufacturing quality, usage environment, installation location, and maintenance of the equipment itself. But it can be controlled through measures such as regular calibration and strengthening daily maintenance.

(2) Human error. Mainly refers to non-standard measurement operations, such as the flow meter not being filled with pipe flow before use, residual gas in the pipe, and not aligning to zero position; In addition, failure to record or incomplete recording of some important data will result in human error.

2. Loss of transmission and distribution network

(1) Natural wear and tear. This includes pressure loss along the pipeline, local pressure loss, and thermal energy loss. These losses are related to the material, diameter, length, type and quantity of pipe fittings, pipeline accessories, and the nature of the gas conveyed.

(2) Leakage loss. Gas leakage occurs in pipelines and accessories due to corrosion perforation, poor material quality, or operational errors, resulting in gas loss.

3. Improper user use

(1)Some users have improper use of gas appliances, such as not closing gas valves, which leads to a large amount of gas leakage in the transmission and distribution network, resulting in gas transmission differences.

(2)Solution to reduce gas transmission difference

1. Optimize the metering device

(1) Select high-quality flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers and other measuring equipment, and conduct regular calibration in accordance with relevant regulations to ensure the accuracy of measurement.

(2) Strengthen daily maintenance, regularly inspect and clean measuring equipment to ensure its normal operation.

2. Optimize the design and management of transmission and distribution pipelines

(1) Optimize the design of the transmission and distribution pipeline network. Based on the actual situation of the gas source, reasonable selection of pipe materials, pipe diameters, and laying methods can be made to reduce energy loss during the transmission and distribution process.

(2) Strengthen the inspection and maintenance of the transmission and distribution pipeline network. Regularly inspect and maintain the transmission and distribution pipeline network, promptly identify and repair leakage points, in order to reduce losses caused by leakage.

3. Strengthen user management

(1) Strengthen user safety publicity and education. Promote the knowledge of safe gas use to users through various forms, improve their safety awareness, and reduce gas leakage caused by improper user use.

(2) Strengthen the supervision and management of user gas facilities. Regularly inspect and maintain user gas facilities, promptly identify and repair problems, in order to reduce the possibility of gas leakage.

4. Promote the application of intelligent gas meters

Intelligent gas meters can monitor and record the usage of gas in real-time, not only improving the accuracy of measurement, but also facilitating the monitoring and management of gas transmission differences by management personnel. Therefore, the application of intelligent gas meters should be actively promoted to improve the efficiency and quality of gas transmission and distribution management.

In short, reducing the gas transmission difference requires multiple measures, including optimizing metering devices, optimizing the design and management of transmission and distribution pipelines, strengthening user management, and promoting the application of intelligent gas meters. Only by comprehensively improving the level of gas transmission and distribution management can we effectively reduce gas transmission differences and improve energy utilization efficiency.
