Electromagnetic flowmeter is a commonly used flow measurement instrument that operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. In an electromagnetic flowmeter, the conductive medium inside the measuring tube is equivalent to a conductive metal rod in the Faraday test, and the two electromagnetic coils at the upper and lower ends generate a constant magnetic field. When a conductive medium flows through, an induced potential is generated. The magnitude of induced electromotive force is proportional to the effective length of the conductor in the magnetic field and the speed at which the conductor moves perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field.
Similarly, oxygen flow meters are also instruments used to measure oxygen flow rate. In an oxygen flow meter, when oxygen flows through the measuring tube, it will be perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field line and generate induced electromotive force as the flow rate changes. The magnitude of the induced potential is directly proportional to the flow rate of oxygen.
Although both flow meters are based on the induced electromotive force generated by fluid flow rate for measurement, there are significant differences in their application and principles. Electromagnetic flow meters are suitable for measuring conductive media, while oxygen flow meters are specifically designed for measuring oxygen. In addition, the measurement range and accuracy of these two flow meters are also different, and specific applications need to be selected according to actual needs.
