The flowmeter is composed of a measuring box and a pair of elliptical gears installed in the measuring box,and the upper and lower cover plates form a sealed early moon cavity (because of the rotation of the gear,so it is not absolutely sealed) as a unit of calculation of a displacement. When the measured liquid entersthe flow time through the pipeline, the pressure difference generated at the inlet and outlet drives a pairof gears to rotate continuously, and continuously transfers the liquid measured by the initial moon-shapedcavity to the outlet. The product of the number of revolutions of the elliptical gear and four times of eachdisplacement is the total amount of the measured liquid flow.
Categories of elliptical gear flows
1, ordinary elliptical gear flow meter: shell material: cast iron shell, elliptical gear material: aluminum magnesium alloy
2, stainless steel elliptical gear flowmeter: the main material is made of stainless steel, has strong corrosion resistance, suitable for industrial and food hygiene level industries
3, zero-return type elliptic gear flowmeter The flowmeter is based on the ordinary elliptic gear flowmeter using zero-return counter. The counter is equipped with two groups of word wheels, which have the double functions of batch counting and total amount counting.
First, the gear does not rotate
Cause of failure:
1. Impurities fall into the table during installation and jam the elliptical gear.
Solution: After disassembly and washing, reinstall it and place it according to the mark of the elliptical gear
2, the measured liquid is not clear, the filter is filled with impurities.
Solution: Wash the filter to remove impurities
3. The measured liquid pressure is too small.
Solution: Add pressure
Second, the elliptical gear flowmeter rotates but the pointer does not move Cause of failure:
1. The transmission gear train is stuck
Solution: Remove impurities and add lubricating oil
2. The gear joint is loose
Solution: Regear Third, the pointer is shaking when turning
Fault cause: The traffic is too large and exceeds the specified value
Solution: Adjust the flow to the specified value Four, the elliptical gear rotation when the abnormal noise
Fault cause: The traffic is too large and exceeds the specified value
Solution: Adjust the flow to the specified value Five, the pointer is reversed, the word wheel is reversed
Failure cause: the direction of liquid flow is opposite to the direction of the arrow indicated by the case
Solution: Disassemble and install in the direction indicated

Cause of failure:
1, traffic is too small
Solution: Change the smaller caliber flowmeter
2. Bypass leakage
Solution: Check bypass to prevent leakage
3, the service life is too long, elliptical gear wear more
Solution: Adjust the gear according to the error change value.
